Our mission for next year is to fund our Rent and Utility relief program. This will assist individuals who have been discharged from inpatient mental health or substance abuse facilities cover lost wages from receiving treatment. According to a report from https://mihealthfund.org/ “22% of all Michigan adults experiencing mental illness, nearly half of those (49.4%) did not receive treatment. Additionally, of the 650,000 Michigan adults with substance use disorder, approximately 73% did not receive.” One reason is cost of care. Through this program, we can help close this gap and encourage treatment and meaningful recovery. We encourage you to get involved and help us make serious change. We invite you to attend our meetings and events, join committees, advocate for reform, become a member, attend or lead support groups, or volunteer.
